In the beginning of monsoon in June, the rainfall was less, temperature was warm, humidity but not much cold on the hillsides. But mist is seen all over there. Once the monsoon set in late July and early August heavy all night rain-showers are felt. It was a tropical downpour. At the end of winter in March the black clouds overcast the sky, It hailed for half an hour. There were snow and snow everywhere changing from 24-25 June to March 23.

Put the verbs in the brackets into their proper forms. The first one is done for you.

As I was about to get into the bus, it started raining. After a few minutes, it started very heavy rain. The roads were flooded. There was water water everywhere. When I got down the bus at my stop I was unable to think what to do. I got down and started walking in knee-deep water slowly. I was fully drenched. When I reached school, there was a horrible scene awaiting. The school ground was over watered. The benches were floating on the water. The memory of that day still remains in my mind.

मानसूनी कोहरे का प्रथम दिन। और पहाड़ों पर कोहरे को उठते हुए देख पक्षियों का शांत हो जाना कितना अजीब लगता है। शायद इसीलिए कोहरा इतना उदास और अकेला होता है। न केवल वह पहाड़ों को ढक लेता है बल्कि उन पर नीरवता की चादर भी डाल देता है। मात्र एक घण्टे पूर्व पेड़ पक्षियों के कलरव से गूंज रहे थे, और अब पूरे जंगल में मौत का सा सन्नाटा है मानो अर्धरात्रि हो गई हो! धुंध के मध्य से बीजू अपनी बहन को आवाज लगा रहा है। मैं उसे पहाड़ियों पर दौड़ते सुन सकता हूँ परंतु मैं उसे देख नहीं सकता।

दूसरे नए आगंतुक चमकीले लाल पक्षी (मादाएँ पीली होती है।) हैं जो चुपचाप पत्तियों के बीच चमकीले नगों की भाँति बैठे होते हैं। चाहे पेड़ कितने भी घने हों, ये चमकीले पक्षी अपने आपको छिपा नहीं पाते, बिल्कुल शान्त रहने के कारण, हालांकि कई बार ये अनदेखे रह जाते हैं। उनके साथ ड्रोन्गोज़ का एक जोड़ा भी है, अत्यधिक उत्तेजक, जो लाल पक्षियों का पीछा करते रहते हैं। बलूत के एक पेड़ के तने के सहारे तेजी से कीड़ों को गिराते हुए एक बेल ऊपर चढ़ रही है। अब चूंकि बरसात आ चुकी है, कीट-भक्षियों के लिए भोजन की कोई कमी नहीं होगी।

पूरी रात्रि भर बरसात पूरी जंग लगी टिन की छत पर आवाज करती रही। कोई आंधी न थी, न कोई तड़ित बस एक स्थिर कटिबंधीय बारिश की धार थी। इसके कारण मैं रात भर जागता रहा; और साथ-साथ, वह मुझे सोने से भी रोक नहीं पाई। पढ़ने के लिए ध्वनि कितनी सुखद थी-बाहर बारिश, अन्दर शांति-और, यद्यपि टिन की छत पर असंख्य छेद थे, जो बारिश के अनछुए अहसास के साथ साथ उसके छुए जाने का भी अहसास करवा रही थी।
