SUBINVOLUTION OF UTERUS

 Sub involution of uterus is arrest ar retardation of involution

Causes:- Retention of placental piece or membrane

Bimanual examination – Uterus is felt larger and soften than normal for particular period of puerperal, Sepsis

Predisposing F :-

Grand multipara

Over distension of uterus in twins

C.S

Uterine Prolepses

Uterine fibroid

Clinical Features:-

Abnormal locheal discharge 

Excessive uterine bleeding

Pain

  Temp.

Fundal height more than normal

Management:-

 Expel retained products of membranes & placenta

Antibiotics

Methargin (Orally) 1 to 4 time in day
