Four P.S are inters elated and depend on each other for safe delivery

Power:- Uterine Contractions

Force acting to expel the fetus

Effacement- Shortening and thinning of the cervix

Dilation:- Enlargement of cervical as and cervical coral

Pushing efforts of mother during the second stage

Passageway:- Mother’s rigid bony pelvis and the soft tissues of cervix, pelvic floor, vagina and introit us (Ex opening of the vagina)

Passengers:- The Fetus, membranes and placenta

Psyche:- A women’s emotional structure that can determine her entice response to labour

Psychological functioning the mother may experience anxiety or fear.
