This procedure helps to compose the result and standardize the method of management the scare in done at 1 minute 5 minute and 15 minute
Apgar score has 5 components as:-
Signs 0 1 2
(1) Respiratory effort Absent Slow irregular Good crying
(2) Heart Rate Absent Slow (below 100) over 100
(3) Muscle tone Flaccid Flexion of Active
Extremities body mover able
(4) Reflex Irritability No response Grimace Cry, Cough range
(5) Colour Blue/pale Body pink Complete pink
Total Scase-10
Score 7-10 Indicates – No depression
Score 4-6 Indicates- Mild depression or Asphyxias’ linds
Score 0-3 Indicates – Serese depression or Asphyxis pallids
Either way the teacher or student will get the solution to the problem within 24 hours.
